These Terms & Conditions govern the Enterpex Young Professionals Grant ("the Grant"). By submitting an application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
The Grant is intended to support professional development and entry into the themed entertainment and visitor attractions industry. It is not a prize, salary, investment, loan, guarantee of employment, guarantee of mentorship beyond the programme described, or a promise of future commercial opportunities with Enterpex or within a given industry.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
1. About the Grant
1.1 The Enterpex Young Professionals Grant is administered by Enterpex Limited, a company registered in the UK under company number 12089527 at Mailbox 5, Unit 2 Brookhill Way, Banbury, OX16 3ED ("Enterpex", "we", "our", or "us").
1.2 ONE successful applicant will receive a grant of £5,000, pending an application, judging, and selection process. The Grant is awarded entirely at Enterpex’s discretion.
1.3 The grant is intended to support ONE applicant's proposed route into the themed entertainment and visitor attractions industry. This may include, but is not limited to, education, equipment, software, travel, business start-up costs, portfolio development, research, product development, or other reasonable expenditure approved by Enterpex.
1.4 The successful recipient will also receive up to 10 hours of mentorship from Adam Hattan, Lead Consultant & Managing Director of Enterpex, over a period of up to twelve months.
1.5 Enterpex may, entirely at its discretion, offer additional mentorship, smaller grants, networking opportunities, introductions, or financial assistance to other applicants. Such support is entirely discretionary and is not guaranteed.

2.4 Employees, directors, contractors involved in judging, and immediate family members of individuals directly involved in administering or judging the Grant are not eligible to apply.

3. Application Process
3.1 Applications must be submitted using the official application process published by Enterpex on https://enterpex.com/young-professionals and in the downloadable application pack.

4. Selection Process
4.1 Applications will be assessed by Enterpex.
4.2 The judging process may involve members of Enterpex's leadership team, colleagues, and, where appropriate, trusted industry professionals providing recommendations. The final decision always remains solely at Enterpex's discretion.

5. Criminal Background Checks
5.1 Shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo identity verification and criminal background checks before any award is made.
5.2 By submitting an application, applicants confirm that the information they provide is truthful and that they have disclosed any information reasonably requested by Enterpex.

6. Acceptance of the Grant
6.1 Being selected as the successful applicant does not automatically entitle an applicant to receive the Grant.
6.2 Before any grant funding, mentorship, or other support is provided, the successful applicant must:
6.3 The Grant Agreement will form a separate legally binding agreement between Enterpex and the successful applicant. It will set out the specific terms relating to the approved proposal, spending plan, payment arrangements, evidence of expenditure, reporting requirements, mentorship, repayment provisions where applicable, and any other conditions relevant to the Grant.
6.4 If the successful applicant does not satisfy these requirements within the timeframe specified by Enterpex, declines to sign the Grant Agreement, or otherwise fails to meet the conditions of the award, Enterpex reserves the right to withdraw the offer of the Grant without liability.
6.5 Where an offer is withdrawn, Enterpex may, at its sole discretion, offer the Grant to another applicant or choose not to award the Grant during that application round.
7. Payment of the Grant
7.1 Subject to the successful applicant complying with these Terms & Conditions and signing the Grant Agreement, the Grant will normally be paid as a single lump sum by bank transfer into a UK bank account held in the recipient's own name.
7.2 Alternatively, where agreed in writing, Enterpex may purchase approved goods or services directly on the recipient's behalf instead of transferring part or all of the Grant. Any purchases made directly by Enterpex will be treated as forming part of the total Grant value.
7.3 The recipient must use the Grant substantially in accordance with the proposal and spending plan approved by Enterpex.
7.4 Any proposed changes to the approved spending plan must receive Enterpex's prior written approval before any funds are spent differently.
7.5 Approval of any change is entirely at Enterpex's discretion. Applicants are therefore encouraged to submit proposals and spending plans they genuinely intend to follow, as approval for amendments cannot be guaranteed.
7.6 Enterpex reserves the right to request full repayment of the Grant, if in its opinion the Grant funds have been misused, misspent, or otherwise used in a method that was not represented and agreed between the applicant and Enterpex in the applicant’s application, spending plan, and/or The Grant Agreement.
8. Mentorship
8.1 The successful recipient will receive up to ten hours of mentorship from Adam Hattan.
Mentorship must be used within twelve months of the grant being awarded.
Unused mentorship hours expire after twelve months and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
8.2 Sessions may take place online or in person, although online meetings will generally be the default.
8.3 Recipients will normally be expected to provide a brief progress update every three months during the mentorship period.
8.4 Enterpex reserves the right to reschedule mentorship sessions where reasonably necessary.
8.5 Enterpex may suspend or terminate mentorship immediately and without compensation where, in its reasonable opinion, the recipient behaves inappropriately, repeatedly fails to attend meetings, is persistently late, acts abusively, or otherwise damages the mentoring relationship.
8.6 Termination of mentorship does not automatically affect the grant unless Enterpex separately determines that these Terms have also been breached.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Applicants retain ownership of all intellectual property contained within their applications unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9.2 By submitting an application, applicants grant Enterpex a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to copy, store, review, reproduce internally, and assess the application solely for the purposes of administering the Grant.
9.3 Where an applicant expressly consents, Enterpex may also share application materials with trusted industry professionals for judging, recommendations, or identifying suitable opportunities.
9.4 Enterpex does not accept any obligation of confidentiality beyond taking reasonable steps to protect submitted material.
9.5 Applicants acknowledge that similar ideas may already exist, may be independently developed, or may have already been conceived and may later be developed by Enterpex or third parties without reference to the submitted proposal.
9.6 Submission of an application does not create any partnership, joint venture, investment relationship, or obligation on Enterpex to commercialise or support the applicant's idea beyond the Grant scheme.
9.7 Any future collaboration would require a separate written agreement.
10. Publicity
10.1 With the recipient's consent, Enterpex may publish photographs, video clips, extracts from the proposal, presentation material, interviews, and related promotional content.
10.2 Applicants' work will not be published without their prior consent.
10.3 By applying, applicants agree that if shortlisted or selected, they may be identified by first name, surname initial, and hometown in connection with the Grant.
11. Artificial Intelligence
11.1 Enterpex values original thinking and authentic creativity. Applicants may use artificial intelligence tools only as limited drafting or organisational aids.
11.2 Artificial intelligence must not be used to generate the substantive written application, proposal, presentation script, designs, artwork, research findings, data, or any material presented as the applicant's own original work.
11.3 Applicants must declare any use of artificial intelligence within their application.
11.4 Enterpex reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse of artificial intelligence and may disqualify any applicant without notice where it reasonably believes these requirements have not been met.
12. Liability
12.1 Recipients are solely responsible for how they choose to use the grant.
12.2 Enterpex accepts no responsibility for any business losses, financial losses, personal losses, tax liabilities, failed projects, unsuccessful ventures, damaged equipment, or other consequences arising from use of the grant.
12.3 Recipients remain responsible for obtaining any insurance, licences, permissions, or professional advice relevant to their project.
12.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.
13. Data Protection
13.1 Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
13.2 Application materials will normally be retained for up to twelve months following completion of the application process unless a longer retention period is required by law or agreed with the applicant.

14. Cancellation and Disqualification
14.1 Enterpex may withdraw, suspend, or cancel an application or award where:

15.1 Enterpex reserves the right to amend these Terms, alter application dates, change judging timetables, suspend, postpone, or cancel the Grant where reasonably necessary.
Where material changes are made after applications have opened, Enterpex will endeavour to notify applicants as soon as reasonably practicable.
16. Events Beyond Our Control
16.1 Enterpex shall not be liable for any delay, cancellation, suspension, or failure to perform its obligations where this results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including illness, natural disasters, government action, industrial disputes, pandemics, war, terrorism, or failure of suppliers.
17. Governing Law
17.1 These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
17.2 Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
