Definitions
Enterpex is registered with the ICO under registration number CSN6753202.
Our Commitment to Data Protection
Enterpex follows the core principles of the UK GDPR, including lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, data security, confidentiality, and accountability.
1. The Personal Data We Collect
Enterpex collects only the information necessary to operate our services. This includes information you provide voluntarily when you join the Enterpex Guest Collective, respond to surveys, volunteer as a Mystery Guest, enter competitions, contact us through the website, or engage with us as a representative of an operator.
When participating as a guest, you may provide a wide range of personal information. This can include your name, email address, date of birth, gender identity, pronouns, sexual orientation, nationality, race or ethnicity, disability status, and other demographic details. You may also share information about your household, family composition, accessibility needs, frequency of theme park visits, and your preferences or opinions relating to guest experience. Some of this information constitutes special category data under the UK GDPR. We collect such data only where you choose to provide it and only for the purpose of conducting surveys, research programmes, Mystery Guest activities, and guest insight analysis for our consultancy work.
We may also collect survey responses, mystery guest suitability information, competition entry details, and any other information you choose to share in connection with guest experience studies or participation in the Enterpex Guest Collective.
When you contact Enterpex in your capacity as an operator, attraction, museum, entertainment venue, or creative team, we may collect your name, business email address, job title, organisation name, project information, and details you provide regarding potential consultancy work. This information is used only to communicate with you, respond to enquiries, and provide or discuss our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
Enterpex processes personal data under two lawful bases: consent for guest participation and legitimate interest for operator enquiries and professional communication.
Guest data is processed only when you have given clear, informed consent. This includes consent for participation in surveys, competitions, research studies, and Mystery Guest programmes, as well as consent for the voluntary disclosure of demographic or sensitive information. Operator data is processed under legitimate interest, limited strictly to responding to enquiries, discussing consultancy opportunities, and delivering requested services.
We process guest information to administer surveys, research studies, Mystery Guest programmes, competitions, and updates relating to your involvement with Enterpex. This includes contacting you about participation opportunities, assessing suitability for specific programmes, analysing trends, and producing insights into guest behaviour and expectations within the themed entertainment industry.
Where you provide sensitive demographic information such as disability status, racial or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation, we process this information only with your explicit consent. This information is used for guest insight and research purposes, including demographic segmentation, accessibility evaluation, and ensuring that Mystery Guest programmes represent a broad and diverse guest base. All special category data is stored securely and accessible only to authorised personnel.
If the lawful basis on which we process your information changes, we will notify you and stop processing your data until a valid basis is established.
3. Data Retention
Guest data is stored for as long as your participation remains active, or until you withdraw consent. If there has been no engagement for a period of 24 months, we may securely delete your information unless you request otherwise. Operator data is retained for up to 36 months after the last meaningful contact. Competition data is deleted once winners are confirmed and prizes are fulfilled, unless you request to remain on our database. You may request deletion at any time by emailing contact@enterpex.com.
4. Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to be informed, the right to access the personal data we hold about you, the right to request correction, the right to request deletion, and the right to restrict or object to processing. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time where consent forms the lawful basis of our processing. Where special category data is involved, you may withdraw your explicit consent at any time without affecting your ability to participate in future activities.
You have the right to data portability and the right not to be subject to automated decision-making. Enterpex does not use automated decision-making or profiling. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, you may contact us at contact@enterpex.com. If you believe we are handling your data in a way that breaches UK GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office at www.ico.org.uk.
5. Request for Information or Deletion
If you wish to know what information we hold about you, or if you would like us to delete your information, you may contact us at contact@enterpex.com. We aim to respond promptly, typically within 24 hours, although some requests may take longer depending on their complexity. We will inform you if additional time is required.
6. Consent and Withdrawal of Consent
By choosing to participate in Opinion Enquiries (surveys), the Enterpex Guest Collective, competitions, or Mystery Guest programme, you confirm that you provide your data voluntarily and consent to its use for research and insight purposes. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting contact@enterpex.com. Once consent is withdrawn, we will stop processing your data and delete it unless required to retain it for legal reasons. Withdrawal of consent will not affect your eligibility for future participation.
When providing special category data, you provide explicit consent for its use within the scope of guest research and insight only. You may decline to answer such questions without affecting your participation.
7. Guest Participation Statement
When you engage with Enterpex as a guest participant, we may ask for demographic information to understand guest needs, behaviours, and expectations. Participation is voluntary, and you may skip any questions you do not wish to answer.
Your responses contribute to aggregated and anonymised insight that helps operators and creative teams improve the guest experience. We will never share your personal identity, contact information, or any detail that could identify you. Any quotations or insights attributed to you will be presented generically, such as referencing your age bracket or guest profile.
8. Sharing Your Data
Enterpex does not sell or share your personal data with operators or third parties for their own marketing purposes, nor do we disclose identifiable information such as your name, email address, or contact details to clients. However, to deliver our consultancy services, we may share anonymous, aggregated, or pseudonymised information that cannot be used to identify you.
The information we may share in anonymised form can include demographic characteristics such as age range, region, nationality, household composition, accessibility needs, or other non-identifying traits. When you take part in an Opinion Enquiry (survey) or our Mystery Guest programme, we may describe your profile in general terms to help contextualise your experience, for example by referring to your age bracket, visit type, or accessibility requirements. We will never share any detail that allows a client to identify you personally.
We may also share survey responses, insight summaries, and guest quotations, provided these are presented in a way that does not identify you. Quotations are attributed generically, such as “Guest respondent aged 35 to 44” or “Mystery Guest with mobility needs,” unless explicit consent to identify you is provided, which we do not typically request.
All shared data is anonymised in accordance with UK GDPR principles. Any third-party service providers used for processing data operate exclusively on behalf of Enterpex and may not use your data for their own purposes.
